I'm trying to update my iPhone 4 to iOS 6?
It started to update but then shut off… When I try to update now it says "unable to install update… An error has occurred in ios6" I'm trying to download from just my Wi-Fi connection not using my computer… Do I need to go to my computer? Or will this even solve the problem?
Go to the computer then.
You could try it again just like the last update their server was overloaded and kicked people out randomly and it took several tries, or you can connect to iTunes and go that rout BUT FIRST, backup all you data (contacts, music, photos) first to your computer or iCloud. Once iOS6 updates it will take you through re-synching with iCloud.
- Trying to update my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 beta 5, but not updating? I downloaded the iOS 7 beta 5 CDMA file off of ios7stuff.com and I tried updating my phone with the file and my iTunes has been saying "Verifying updated iPhone software" for almost 20 minutes, and my phone screen turned black with the Apple and updating status bar but the update isn't starting. Help! and I do not have a UDID I also have been using iOS 7 beta 3 for a while but it didn't update to beta 4 or 5 which is why I tried downloading beta 5 directly.

What do I do!
