I need a running gps watch/gadget with MP3 playback?
Any recommendations on a watch or mp3 player that has gps? I used to run with my iphone so I could track my run and listen to music, but now I got the note 3 and it would just be absurd to run with such a large device (but it is great for nearly everything else). Price isn''t a big deal as long as it is quality, but I don't want to carry multiple devices (i.e.watch and mp3 player). I've seen the motoactv but apparently its discontinued and I don't want a device that's going to lose support anytime soon.
Need?
I would argue against an all in one device. If you had earphones in, then the lead would have to stretch from your ear to the wrist at its full extent, when the arm is close to the body the lead would hang low and this is the problem, the lead is likley to get caught in every bush that you run past ripping the earpieces from your ears. Not good for a consistant run if you stop every 100m to put the ear back in again. With the iphone you wore it in a pocket or on your arm and the headphone lead was pretty stationary and didn't get caught so you wouldn't have had that problem
My advice would be a cheaper GPS watch that has the functions that you want plus a small light weight mp3 player, you can get cheap ones to use just for running from many big supermarkets and stores (quality of playback isn't important when you run nor is the ability to hold a million tracks)
As for the Motoactv, this was a short lived watch, however if you want it then they ill support it for a couple of years still
- Xperia P vs iPhone 4s video playback? I downloaded a youtube HD video on my pc and I have put it on both my Xperia P and iPhone 4s. Wich phone will play it better. Some say iPhone 4s because the higher resolution. Some say Xperia P for bigger screen and Bravia engine. Wich phone will play it better?(it is a downloaded video to watch it offline)
- What GPS tracking iphone apps (cycling and running) can be used without a 3G signal? I have been using both endomondo and mapmyride for my running and cycling. When I came to track my mountain biking neither of the apps would start a workout because I was out in the sticks with no network connection. I wasn't expecting any live maps, but was expecting either one of the above to be able to track my coordinates by GPS, to be uploaded later. Shame really because I like the apps. Do they actually works without a network signal and I'm missing something?
- Transferring MP3 to iTunes, MP3 not working? I downloaded 40 MP3s in my computer and as usual, I drag them to iTunes so I can connect it to my iPhone. But only 4 were able to transfer. I tried playing the MP3s that didn't work in windows media player but they did not play. They are all MP3 files (the ones that worked and didn't work) how can I make the files play and transfer them to iTunes?
- Is the Apple Watch Series 3 with GPS only good? I have the iPhone 8 and I really want an apple watch. The GPS only is quiet cheaper than the one with LTE. What's the difference? And should I get the gps only like will it let me k now when some one is calling, messages, etc…
