I need help my son through my iphone 6 in a sink full of water its promble been in there for 5 mins before i knew about it i put rice?
Do i just leave it in there for 2 days and do i need to take my memory card out of my phone
Take out everything you can. Then put everything in rice
One method which often works, but unfortunately not always is:
1) Turn phone off.
2) Remove all accessories, including the battery and SIM card (if applicable) if possible.
3) Wipe the phone dry as much as possible.
4) Put the phone in a container full of uncooked, dry rice and make sure the phone is fully covered in the rice.
5) Leave the phone in rice for 24 hours, or longer as a precaution.
6) Remove the phone from rice, replace battery (if applicable) and attempt to turn it on. If phone is still not working, try repeating the process with fresh rice.
Rice should be allowed a full week to do whatever it can.
It's not a cure-all.
- Water damaged IPhone 5s! Been in rice 24hours? It looked much better after being in the rice but now I'm noticing moisture behind the screen. It's like it's creeping in slowly. Is there anything I can do to prevent this getting worse until I can afford to get it fixed?
