I notice reading books on iphone is impossible because of distractions, would you use kindle instead?

Added (1). I notice I can't get through a book on my iphone. Like i'm so distracted by checking stuff and word definitions etrc

I like BOOK books, but I do have a Kindle and they have markedly larger screens than phones, so between the two (phone vs Kindle), I'd use the Kindle if possible.

I prefer a Kindle.
Turn your phone to airplane mode if you don't want interruptions. Just remember to turn it back on when you want to receive messages.

I like reading actual books but Kindles are good too

Distractions how… I read on it all the time… Its the same thing as a kindle

I rarely read a book with my eyes anymore. I often go with a podcasted book or audio drama when distracted by things like facebook and twitter or relisten to distract form noise when trying to sleep, love that audible sleep timer.

Usually now when I read a book in text from, I have the kindle app on my tablet set to white letters and black background so I'm less likely to wake up my wife when I'm not sleeping since she can't sleep if I listen to something.
Many people do find a dedicated ebook reader like a Kindle to be better to read because of not being able to go online and check social media and email. It didn't work for me when my Kindle 3 still worked but it does for many people. Maybe a close friend or family member can loan you a Kindle. KOBO, or Nook for a couple of days to see it it works for you

  • Why can't I hide or delete books on the Books app on my iPhone? I uploaded some free books to read on the app and after a couple chapters wasn't interested in them. I tried to delete them and they didn't go away. I tried to hide them and they still wouldn't go away. Now when I click "edit" it greys out the delete and hide options completely. I'm aggravated because I can't get rid of them no matter what I've tried.
  • Which is worse reading and not replying or not even reading it? On fb or iPhone or whatever which would you consider worse, reading something, and the person seeing you've read it, and not replying or just not reading it at all and I obviously not replying. In both cases not replying at all.
  • Should i get the 7 kindle fire HD or the Kindle Paperwhite? I already have a Macbook and iPhone, thats why this decision seems hard for me. Also, can someone tell me more about Amazon Prime? If i get a Kindle should i get it? Is it worth it?
  • Kindle Lending Library without a Kindle? I currently have an iPad, iPhone and read using the Kindle app for the desktop while at work. I also have an Amazon Prime account. If I purchase a cheap and broken old kindle and associate it with my Amazon account would I be able to borrow books from the Kindle Lending Library and read them on other devices?
