I owe someone money, but they stopped contacting me. What should I do?

I bought an old, cracked iPhone from my friend for $35. I was going to pay her after I got paid. I now have the money, but we have since had a very messy falling out. I'm not even sure if we will speak again. I told her once "let me know when you can come get this money." And she said "okay." About a week later I texted her asking "are you ever going to come get your money?" And she didn't reply. Should I just spend the money and pay her if she asks again? Or should I just completely forget about it?

I know this might seem like a big deal for $35, but I'm trying to do the right thing.

You have nothing to spend. Give that girl HER money!

Simple solution:
• take envelop
• take picture of you putting in the money with a letter saying: "$35, 00 for cracked Iphone, xnamex"
• go to her front door
• take picture of you putting the envelop in the mailbox
• you are safe to proceed your life

Mail her a check. If you don't have an account, get a check from your parent in her name. That way if she doesn't cash it you still have the money. If she does you have proof you paid.

She knows where to find you or how to contact you, right? You've done your part. At this point, you should set the $35 aside to have it in case she ever comes to get it. You could open a savings account and keep it there, and any interest on the money would be yours to keep.

Don't use the savings account for anything else. Keep it for ten years, and if she hasn't come back to get the money by then, it's yours.

You should take the money to her. It's not her responsibility to come and get it. You are just looking for a way out. Sorry, just pay her the money.

So - if you are trying to do the right thing - write a check and mail it to her.
