I sold an LV case and Chanel case. Will ebay and paypal limit my account?
I sold an LV and Chanel iphone case for $15 each on ebay. My friend has been selling on ioffer for a while and her paypal account was disabled because she put up a listing of paul frank case. Will I be in the same trouble for selling luxury brand products?
ps: I have been selling on ebay for 3 years and this is the first time I've sold luxury brand products.
Your account can be limited on two different ways: Account lockout or suspension due to bad activity or account limitation and spending limits.
An ACCOUNT LOCKOUT is when your account is disabled and is pending investigation. This usually happens when an account holder has a terrible track record that relates to bad transactions (not limited to eBay sales.) This includes overdue payments, numerous disputes, eBay disputes, false information (which is a Federal Crime), or lots of other issues - These are issues that only your friend selling on iOffer can fix.
An ACCOUNT LIMITATION is when your account hits spending and receiving limits. You can only receive so much money before you must verify your identity with PayPal. Usually, spending limits are somewhere near $5, 000 USD and receiving limits are far lesser (if I remember correctly, a few hundred.) Once you hit the limit, activity is frozen and you are left to verify your account via adding a Credit/Debit Card and verifying it or linking a Bank Account (in some nations.) Follow the instructions on PayPal to lift the limit.
