Someone sold me an iPhone on eBay and it's gone wrong

Baiscally i purchased an iPhone 4s of a seller on eBay for £380 he has good ebay feedback and made good communication with me. Transfered the money over by paypal he sent the goods opened the iPhone box. And everything is there. ACCEPT THE IPHONE! What do i do? I need that money back!

You should have used amazon on ebay its to easy to be scamed

Contact the seller right away and tell him that. If he does not work things out for you, you need to file a claim with eBay. They're 'supposed' to fight for your rights…

If you haven't already, contact the seller. Send them a message explaining what has happened. If the seller refuses to offer a full refund or ignores your messages, open an eBay Buyer Protection case.
If 7 days have passed since you opened the case, and the seller still hasn't resolved the problem, contact eBay Customer Support.eBay will review the case and may provide a refund of the purchase price plus original shipping.

Make sure that the seller doesn't try to buy time by asking you to wait and be patient. You only have a certain amount of time to open a case againts a seller. You may have to pay to return the box, but it should be refunded as well.

Hope This Helps.

Follow the above advice. If you still can't get anywhere if you paid by Visa through Paypal contact Visa and explain what heppened and they will likely reverse the charges.

The problem i see here is that any seller sending an item worth 380 will have used a signed for service and as such he will be able to show ebay tracking proof that you received the package.
He obviously can't prove what was or was not actually in the package. You, in turn, can't prove what was or was not in the package. If the seller has a much better feedback rating than you ebay will probably find in his favour. In many ways it is the perfect scam. The seller has a signature saying you received the item.

The problem for ebay or anyone else here is they have no way of knowing who is the scam artist, you or the seller. You say he has good feedback, has he really? Look up his profile and see what he has actually sold. 25 sales of items under a fiver could give him a 100% positive feedback but does not mean that he will be good for a 380 quid sale!

When i buy anything on ebay i look closely at what the seller has previously sold not just the numbers.

To be blunt, i think if you signed for the package you are on a very sticky wicket here.
