I think i killed my Iphone

Yesterday at school my phone fell out of my pocket into the toilet and it was used the toilet and i didn't want to grab it and it was in the toilet for a good 2-3 minutes and when i grabbed it i was shaking and tried to turn it on but no response then it got Really hot and the led light turned on? Then the light turned off and the phone went back to normal tempreture and i put it in a bowl of rice overnight now its been 24 hours and before i took it out and plugged it into the computer and itunes but no response and it didn't detect it… I'm really upset i've been none stop crying i hadnt backed it up! I have an appointment with apple tonight. But do you think my phone is dead? Even when i switch the silent button it doesn't vibrate…
