I updated my iPhone to iOS 7 and now music won't play?

I just updated my phone a couple hours ago to iOS 7. I can play music from the music app when I'm using headphones, but before the update, I could play music without headphones out of the phone's speaker, and now I can't. I checked all the volume settings and it's off silent-- nothing is working. Is it working for you? How can I fix this because I'm really unhappy if this feature was removed with the update. I can't find anyone online with the same issue…

Added (1). I have a 4S, so I don't have the AirPlay option in my control center. And I got it to work last night for a while, but now I just tried again and it's not working again. I don't want to reset because I have a lot of music on my phone and don't want to lose it, especially since resetting didn't work for the other person with this issue.

Mine works fine. Try a reset. You will only lose how you had your settings. A reset fixes most problems.

I hate this update. Can anyone answer my question. I was the last update back. It sucks.

I had the same problem, when you go to your music make you download all the songs from your cloud it should say download all songs on top

I updated my phone too and now my phone won't play any of my music at all. I've tried my headphones and speaker.nothing works! I have no clue how to fix it

Mine is totally shot too… I was listening to itunes radio and skipped a song and it crashed… When I brought it back up the radio tab at the bottom was gone and it said my itunes match subscription had expired… Makes no sense

Mine doesn't work either! Ugh reset did nothing

Swipe upwards on your iPhone to open the control center
on the bottom right you will see "Air Play"
Click on it and switch to iPhone speaker

I had same problem, looks like my iphone didn't completely sync all of my songs on itunes even though my iphone shows the song is there. Just plug it back into your computer and re-sync itunes with your iphone again. Note that the status of the sync will say, 'waiting for changes to be applied' and then it will start syncing songs that weren't successfully synced previously. So just give it a few minutes.

Found a work around to get sound on again if you are muted.

Make a voice-call set to speaker and Hangup.

After I did the call all my sounds were enabled again. Hope this assists.

Mine works perfectly, but I just can't go onto iTunes store, when I downloaded music from my iPad it just stay blank on my music playlist Iccan listen to it on my iPad but not my iPod, I hate this update so much everytime I go to iTunes store it crashes.__.

Make a call with the speaker on then try it. This worked for me

Fed up with Apple updates. Can't even open my music on iPad or iphone

I just downloaded the new IOS. When I click the new music icon, I see an Apple Promo for three month free trial (big pink button). Below the button is a small link to "Go to my music". This link does not work so there's no way to get to my music. I Really Hate Apple right now.
