I want to be a photographer?
I wanna be a photographer but all i have is an iphone at the moment and i don't know how to to take professional looking photos. I'm looking for a camera from a price range of $100-$200. And how can i start practicing with my iphone 5C? And what are some photo editing apps/softwares for photography
Firstly, keep away from "apps" and "effects". They are, for the most part, crutches for people who can't take a decent picture.
For one to two hundred dollars, you may as well stick with the iPhone. It will be good enough to take pictures at first because you will do most of your learning by looking. Looking for light, looking for compositions, looking for interesting subjects, looking for balanced pictures. The camera doesn't find these things - you do. Once you've found them, that's when the camera comes into play. A common mistake that people make at the beginning (and I did it too) is to assume that a more expensive camera will somehow automatically train your eyes to see amazing pictures everywhere. It doesn't happen like that.
As long as the pictures you choose are in decent daylight, there's no real reason why an iPhone can't capture them satisfactorily. Don't worry about "professional looking photos"; they come with time and experience, not expensive cameras. I can show you some truly rubbish pictures taken with very, very expensive gear.
If you get more seriously into photography later on, that's when you can start researching actual cameras and suchlike. For now, learn to see. No camera can teach you that.
If you want to be a photographer, you need(most pros have cameras that are large and expensive.) a good camera. If you only have $100-200 to work with, I would suggest an advanced point-and-shoot. If you want to start with your IPhone, that's completely okay. Some of my best pictures have been taken with my Iphone. Photography is all about being creative, expressing your beliefs, exc… I use Photoshop and Bridge for my photos, but for a photography app, I would use VSCO Cam.
An iphone isn't suitable for professional photography, nor for learning about photography seriously. A $100 to $200 camera isn't going to cut the mustard either, although it would be much better than any smart phone camera.
What I suggest you do is join a local photography club - you don't usually need a camera to join, the people there will be able to help you buy a suitable camera, they may even have one you can borrow. Save up your money, and when you do decide to buy something yourself, think about buying an entry level DSLR - perhaps around $500-$600, or less if you decide to buy second hand. These are fully adjustable cameras, and the type you need to learn about all the aspects of proper photography.
With your iPhone (or a cheap point-and-shoot camera) just mind the light and study composition. When you finally have a dSLR, get down to learning exposure.

I wana be a race car driver but only have $5,000, what can I do?
It is clear that you have not done any independent research into the field of photography, but hope to "become" a photographer using a mobile or P&S camera. This will NOT happen
Photographers use fully adjustable cameras and multiple lenses.
Plan on investing around $1,500 over the next couple of years if you really want to be a photographer
Proper photographers do NOT use Apps. They learn how to use the camera.
- What would you recommend to a beginner photographer? I'm beginning to follow my dream of becoming a professional photographer, yet I don't own a camera. I mean, I use my iPhone and my parent's digital camera, but not one of my own. I've used Canon's cameras before, and I think I want to save up for one. Can someone recommend a few that I could start with? Something HD, with a nice grip, not too bulky.

- Is it okay to call myself an aspiring photographer? I've been saving up a lot of money for my first camera. At the moment i just take snapshots on my iPhone and post them to and account on Instagram. Somebody told me i can't be an aspiring photographer because i'm using my cell at the moment. Am i in the wrong? I just love taking pictures and right now all i have is my cell and i really to aspire to become a photographer some day.
