Hook it up with an iTunes card. You need some type of credit so when you download apps, songs, or movies they can take money off of it. Even if you get all free apps just in case you get one you have to pay for it will charge from the gift card or credit card.
You can't. You must have a credit card, you will not be charged unless you purchase something. Thats how it works with apple & iphone
