I want to sue apple for this. Can I?

I recently discovered that my Apple iPhone 5 display was faulty. The display has horrible interlacing scan lines and this is a very widespread problem for many users. Some Apple store technicians willnot swap the phone for this issue because they believe it is "within spec". Despite their reluctance, I have swapped my phone for this issue at least 6 times, and all the phones I receive still has this issue. For more info, you can read a forum about this (if you have an iPhone 5, I suggest you test your iPhone)

Anyway, about 80 percent of the phones they display in the store DO NOT have this issue. I went to the apple store and they managed to swap my display out for a new non-faulty one and the issue was finally resolved. When I called apple to encourage the engineering team to take a look at it, they seemed very disinterested.
I'm wondering if there's anyway to get apple to recall any phones that have this scan line issue. Basically the display phones are pristine, but the phone received is not. Is that any form of false advertising? Is it illegal to showcase something and then hand over a product that does not match the item on display. (I mean I know all phones will be different, but this is a noticeable defect that is overlooked by apple)

I don't know much about law and I'm not going to even pretend I do. Could this be a class action lawsuit?

Added (1). Apple has had dozens of suits filed against them for problems far more minor than this one. How do others do it?!

You have no standing to file a suit because they already remedied the problem you were having.

Good luck in taking legal action against Apple, because it is highly unlikely that you would win.

You can spend about 10 grand just to get the "ball rolling", then have them toss it out in court and your money is gone. Good for lawyers though.

  • Can i sue for wrongful termination? So i had been working at this place once(as a temp), was only late twice (one time because my iphone alarm was on vibrate), and 2 days ago i was told to not return because i was eating a chalupa by the monitor( even though my boss also eats by the monitor) and had a Celebrity Gossip window open along with the work window. Even though i told him i was multi-tasking, and had turned everything in well. Can i sue for disparate treatment?(rules only applying to him)
