I washed my iPhone 4. Can I just switch the SIM card?

There's no hope of repairing it. I have AT&T, if I buy an iPhone 4 from a friend can I just put my SIM card from the water damaged one into it? Do I need to call customer service?

Just call up AT&T to let them know. Otherwise, they might call the cops on you for stealing an iPhone.

Of course! If the SIM card is damaged you can go to AT&T and get a new one for either free or really cheap. The other iPhone has to be AT&T or unlocked though. But yes just put your SIM card in the other iPhone and youre set.

Yeah I'm sure the sim card repairs all the internal parts that are water damaged.

And then i put the phone on the charger and it still did not work. My mom told me to put in in rice but i read that if i already charged it or tried to turn it on i'm screwed.
