ICloud and personal cloud storage combatibility?
I have ios 5 running in my iPhone and obviously I have iCloud with it. The problem is I have loads of data in my phone and it takes forever to upload through my Internet. So I was wondering if I could get a personal cloud storage device and upload it there. Can anybody tell me if I can upload my iPhone datas to my own cloud device. Is it possible?
Added (1). I had a look at WD my book live. It says I need to buy a wd n900 router. I mean can I do with any router or the one wd specifies
Yes you can add a network disc to your network and use that as personal "cloud" storage. The My Book Live connects to your router with Gigabit Ethernet cable. Providing you have a modern router which has a spare Gigabit Ethernet socket it will work.
- On the I cloud on the Iphone what does total storage and available storage mean? Basically it says total storage 5gb and availible storage 5 gb. Does that mean there's already 5 gb of files on the Icloud?
- IPhone storage full but iCloud storage not? I'm in the Navy and I'm going on deployment soon so, I'm racking up on stuff like movies and music so I won't be bored during deployment… I'm 3 seasons in on downloading stuff on Netflix and it says my storage is full… I deleted a lot of useless apps and music already and I downloaded a few more then it happened again… I see my iCloud storage is very empty but my phone storage is too full… How can I fix this.
- My iPhone has ran out of storage and I just deleted a lot of photos and videos and there's still no storage So I moved a whole lot of photos and videos to iCloud Drive and deleted them off the phone itself to clear space up but it still says there's no storage left. Please help me to know what's wrong and what to do so I can clear up space.
- ICloud storage and iPhone storage? So I had 2.5 GB of space left on my iPhone. I turned on iCloud so I could save photos then delete them but then I got more space on iCloud ($0.99 a month) and suddenly it added 1000+ photos that were on another apple device I had. But surprisingly my phone space was at 2.8 GB Which is more space than before and my iCloud storage was lower. I have photo stream on. Does this mean any new photos saved to iCloud don't take space up on my phone, just takes up space in iCloud?
