If I buy a Iphone 4s In America can I use it in the UK?
Hi there basicaly I have bought a Iphone 4s from america and have received it as they had a sale, anyway when its in the uk its blocked from service (no signals or calls), could I unblock it? Alot of my mates say you can jailbreak it to get signal back, Can any one help me out?

First you have to make sure that iPhone is AT&T, you check in setting - about - carrier. You then need to unlock it not jailbreak. Jailbreak only allow you download restricted apps and change the template of the phone in design. To unlock it, just bring it to apple store, they will know what to do.
What does this have to do with real estate?
Yes you can get it jailbreak however if you do some of the functions may not work such as internet etc depending on your new carrier
I recommend taking it to a new provider over in the UK and inquiry more with them
Your phone is locked and useless in UK.US phones generally do NOT work outside US! You need to see if you can get it unlocked and get UK service. Sprint has no UK partners, affiliates, etc, that I know of. Apple Store might not be able to help since it is locked to Sprint, but try there first. It might be your only option, if it's an option at all. Then try major mobile phone service centers, but without Sprint, that's no sure thing.
"Jailbreak" is illegal, does not work well, and best you can do is some limited apps - you'd never get full features & service. You needed to avoid buying US phone! Bad idea.
Yes it should work, provided you bought an unlocked phone and not one which is locked to an American network.

UK networks tend to rely on GSM900, GSM1800, UMTS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSPA+ and LTE.
Update: If your phone is locked, then it is useless in the UK.
You need to mention that the phone will be used in the UK, hence they sell you an unlocked one.
