If I buy an iPhone X at an Apple Store in Japan, will it work in the Philippines or do I still have to get it unlocked

Where is the best place to buy an iPhone 4s: the Verizon store or the Apple store? I don't have an upgrade until January but am looking to buy an iPhone soon. I've been looking at the various sites and saw that there was a huge price difference between the Apple and Verizon stores. A rep at the Verizon store told me I wouldn't even have to change my existing plan, but just pay the $449 for the phone. Why would I buy an iPhone 4s from Verizon for $449.99 when they're sold on the Apple website for $99?
Where can I get an unlocked iphone 5 in Japan? I've just got to Japan and need an iphone 5. I heard that the iphones here are all locked to Japanese networks and can't be unlocked. Is this true? Please give me some information, and if there's anywhere I can get an unlocked iphone 5?
Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
Is it better to buy the iphone from the apple store or from verzion store? I'm thinking to of getting the Iphone but i go on the apple website and they make it sound cheaper. Then i go to the verizon website and they make it sound more expensive. Which one should i go with?
