If i Buy an Iphone5 in America will it work in Ireland?
I'm travelling to America at christmas and i was looking at iphones here in Ireland but there to expensive, I'm wondering if i buy an iphone5 in America will the phone work here properly on an o2 simcard or another irish network without being damaged or slowing down?

Well I've heard phones sold in America won't work with like British sim cards or something like that, (doesn't make any sense to me: P) don't know if it is the same for Ireland
Even if the iPhone is unlocked, it might be set to a different frequency setting which means it wouldn't pick up any of the Irish phone networks.
For example. Say if you got a radio that worked on 90-100FM and your favourite station was 105FM, it wouldn't pick it up… That's like how phone networks work.
There are different iPhone models all around the World so you'd need to ask about that. If you can, it'd be best to purchase it in Ireland.
It may work on a 3G network, but it will definitely not work on any 4G networks in Ireland. You'll need to ask.
