If I buy the iPhone 6 in USA because it's cheaper how would I transport it to Australian?

Can you just buy the iPhone 6 in us and pay it to get it unlocked to Australian?

You can just get the factory unlocked iPhone 6 and use it in Australia without any problem. Why get the phone locked to a carrier and then have the hassle of unlocking it and it costs even more. If you think of signing up for contract and get the phone at discounted price, that's not possible as you're not a resident of US. Getting the phone factory unlocked is the best option for you.   • Would I be allowed? (Australian)? I'm boarding a QANTAS plane and going from QLD to VIC (Melbourne), would I be allowed to put my iPhone (5) to airplane mode and turn it off and just use it to take pictures on the plane? It will just be through my window, and if I'm taking it through the opposite side of me, i will ask their permission.

I'm not sure where she purchased it from, I do think I will have to get it unlocked because she was on a plan that you pay it off for 24 months. I'm not too sure if it can be and if so where? I would ask her but she doesn't know squat about technology.
