If I get a verizon IPhone 4 from GameStop can I use it on my contract?
GameStop sells unlocked iPhones and I saw an iPhone 4 on Verizon that was unlocked. I'm still on my contract for the phone I have now on my family plan on Verizon but if I buy the iPhone from GameStop and take it to Verizon, will they transfer my # and all to the iPhone? Also, if they do can my brother use my old phone or no? Any answers will be helpful!
It depends on your contract. Yes it can be added to Verizon and you can move your phone number and give your old phone to your brother so he can move his number to it. All they do is sell you a new sim chip to activate it on their network.
As soon as the new chip is put in it is no longer unlocked. If your existing plan has data nothing will change if not they may insist on adding data for an additional charge to add it.
Otherwise it will work.

Ok so I'm not asking for me omg ;-; but there's a guy that's stolen three iPhones from three different gamestops and we're supposed to be on the lookout for him. I was just wondering if he brought one of the iPhones in to sell it is there a way we would know it was one of the stolen ones? Like the guy took them from the front before we even had a chance to inventory them. I don't know how if there's a serial number gamestop tracks them on or what?
