If i get an iPhone 4S, will it fit into my 3GS iHome dock?

I have the iHome that has inserts for certain phones and iPods, and I'm getting a new phone soon, will it fit with the 3GS insert? Or will I have to not use one at all? I don't have any of the others. \

My daughter has an iphone 4 in an otterbox commuter case. She has an ihome speaker. She tells me the iphone won't fit on the dock of the ihome while it is in the otterbox case. Does anyone know a workaround for this? Is there a dock extender, or something that will allow the phone to fit on the ihome dock? Any info appreciated.

  • Problems connecting my Iphone with my ihome? My iPhone needs a snugger fit with it's iHome. When I first bought it, it worked fine but now when I snap my iphone into the dock it doesn't connect unless I keep the phone pushed forward a little bit because it is leaning back too far. Also, it is not my iphone that is the problem, does the same thing with anyone elses. Any tips? None of the adapters to change the dock input work with my phone either, they are all too small.
