You don't pay for a phone bill unless it is working. You don't say if its connected to a carrier or not. If the phone is not in your name & connected you may want to ask whoever gave you the phone if you are responsible. If not shop for carriers & Double Chec coverage in your area before you connect.

I recently bid on ebay for a new iPhone 4, the two payments accepted at PayPal and Bill Me Later, I don't have the money right now, but I'm starting my new job tomorrow I should have the money for the phone in about a week or two, so do I have up to 6 months to pay the full amount or do I have to make payments on it? Also, can I still get the iPhone if I don't pay right away?
