If I go out at sea for a cruise will my iphone be charged if I use instagram?
So I'm going on a disney cruise to the caribbean. I already know calling or texting will cost an arm and a leg to use out at sea, but I want to know whether it'll cost me anything to use Instagram.
Yes… Unless you have Wi-Fi but on cruises the Wi-Fi is really expensive
You HAVE TO get access to the world via the ships satellite system when out at sea!
You will not be in range of shore based stations, the only link at sea is via satellites.
Any contract giving "X" number of "free" minutes from any phone supplier is void!
You have to sign up to the ships system for the little/lot you require!

Yes, you will pay, as you say it "will cost an arm"… Instagram will cost what ever data change there are for internet usage.
You'll have to buy Internet access thought the ship, which I don't recommend because its really expensive and slow
There's nothing free on a cruise, especially when it comes to the satellite communication which is the only way you can use internet on-board.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
