If i jailbreak my iphone while it's on contract and warranty will anything happen? - 1

I have apple care + and i've been told multiple different things.

From Apple's mouths… Here's an answer one more time.

Apple strongly cautions against installing any software that hacks iOS. It is also important to note that unauthorized modification of iOS is a violation of the iOS end-user software license agreement and because of this, Apple will deny service for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that has installed any unauthorized software.

On another post, Apple wrote:

Restoring a modified iOS back to factory settings may allow Apple to service the device, but if the modified iOS can't be removed by restoring factory settings the warranty is voided.

There's literally an Apple forum on this topic where Apple Representatives have answered this question multiple times. I don't think that they can make it any more simple for you.

If you jailbreak your phone the warranty is automatically void.

Jailbreaking your iPhone will invalidate your warranty (including Apple Care+) as you're breaking Apple's End-User License Agreement (EULA) & their Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP)… Which gives Apple a legal reason to refuse repair services as you have modified the hardware with unauthorized software.

If you can safely remove the modified software (to revert it back to an unmodded state) PRIOR to requesting repair services, you may still be able to utilize the original warranty as long as Apple can't find any traces of the unauthorized modifications.
