If I reset my phone, will it affect my data plan?
I have an IPhone 8 and I want to start using the downtime feature. I have a problem with not doing my homework when I'm supposed to and it's mainly because of my phone, so I want to get off that. But apparently I had set a password for it a while ago, and I don't remember it. I've looked it up, and people say the only way I can reset that password is if I reset my phone completely. I have all my photos in google photos, and that's the only thing I'd want to save so we're good there. I just want to make sure it's not going to affect my data and that payment. I'm still on my moms plan at the moment, she pays for the unlimited data from AT&T and all that. If I do reset my phone, will the plan still be there and will my phone still be turned on? Or will that be erased too?
Yes, so I don't recommend it. Do it at your own risk. It always may damage your phone. It's not worth it.
Of course not. The data plan and phone have nothing to do with each other. You can factory reset your phone until the end of time and it will never affect your plan. AT&T doesn't really care what you do with your phone.
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?

I was just wondering, if i'm at home and connect to my Wi-Fi network that i use for everything in my house (computers, e.c.t) using my phone, will it charge my data plan for over use? Or does being connected to your own network not take away data time/ charge you on your plan.
