If I take my iPhone 5 to an apple store, will they replace it with a new one?

My iPhone 5 has no cracks or nothing like that. The only problem is the on and off button will not work correctly, I have to repeatedly press it hard in order for it to turn on or off. And another problem is at the bottom of the screen there's a green light that's stays on the screen for about 3 seconds or so. I got my phone last year, so my warranty is up. But if I take it to an apple store and show them what's wrong, will they exchange it for one that's never been used?

Short answer - no.
Long answer - no.

If you buy a new car and two years later the door locks cease to function you can't take it to the dealership to replace the car for a new one, can you? Same principle applies here.

No not if the on and off button don't work. Yo
you can trade it but you will also pay a $100. I did it with my iPod it was crack and they gave me a new one for a $100 hope I helped.

They won't sorry

No but I guess they will fix the problem

  • Will Apple still want my broken iPhone 5 since they are sending me a new one? I called Apple support yesterday and I told them my screen had cracked on the iPhone 5 and they told me they couldn't repair it cause its still so new so they will charge me $250-$300 which I have no problem paying. I'm wondering though will they want me to send my broken iPhone 5 to them after they ship me a new one? Cause I wanna sell my old one to get the money for the new replacement. Does anyone know if Apple will force me to or not?
  • Verizon store or apple store for a new iphone 5? Verizon said I can get an Iphone 5 for "Using my upgrade + $199).Is it true that I can get an iphone 5 at the apple store for $199? If true, Why would I use an upgrade at verizon and pay the same amount for the phone?
  • Is it best to take my new iPhone 5s back to an Apple Store or to O2? Today I purchased my brand new iPhone 5s and have noticed a rattle which should not be there. It is from the Lock Button, and I have heard this is a common fault? Should I take it straight back to an Apple store, or to O2 where I purchased it from for a free replacement? If I was to take it back to Apple, would I need to wipe the phone first and if they provide me with a new one, will it simply mean placing my O2 sim card back in and restoring from back up?
