If I turn off the network on an IPhone will i still get texts or calls?
Okay so I'm going to the Caribbean in a few weeks and I was wondering about my iPhone. I don't have an international data plan, so I was planning on turning off my network. It says online that you can iMessage people through Wi-Fi. But if i turn it off will i get the messages i missed after I turn it back on? And will i charged for my iMessages?
I just got back from Poland where I went for a couple of weeks. IMessage will not work even if you have Wi-Fi. You won't be able to call or txt unless you call your provider and tell them to activate your SIM card. I called Verizon and supposedly they did this for me, but I still couldn't get calls, txts, or iMessages. To be on the safe side, install these two apps that use Wi-Fi for communication. Whatsapp and Viber. Viber can call and message to other iPhone users who have Viber and is free. Whatsapp can message other Whatsapp users, but it's nice because Whatsapp is not limited to iPhones. Other smart phones can install it too.
Your Imessage most to be free even if you turn your network off, lots of places have Wi-Fi in all countries
- What's the difference between off-network and on-network? I'm try to work out which is best for what I want out of the service. I want protection while on my iPhone 5 (both when connected via Wi-Fi and when roaming on 3/4G). Website with product details: http://www.umbrella.com/products/umbrella-security-features/
- Turn off Bluetooth calls on iOS? So I have this radio in my car that has a cord that comes out for iPod hook up I bought a Bluetooth adapter so I can play my music wirelessly in my car But when I got it paired It thinks I'm wanting to make some calls And that's it I'm not sure if I can turn it off on the radio Maybe on my iphone 5?
- Since latest Apple update on my Iphone 7 the phone will only vibrate when I get texts or calls? I checked the settings and they're still set for the sounds, the volume is up, the phone is not on night. What is going on?
- Is there a fast way to turn off all comms on an iphone, BUT calls and texts to conserve battery? I was wondering if there's a one button way to turn off all comms, push notifications etc, except calls and texts(or maybe even calls only) in order to conserve battery? I also heard of a mode on some Android devices that would also turn your screen black & white and dim it. Does anyone know if there's some sort of an App or something like that that would allow you to have such functionality? Cheers
