If I unlock my iPhone, will I get free internet everywhere?

I have a Verizon iPhone 4 I got it from the pawn shop and I wanna know if I can call& text for free and if the social networkings going to work without Wi-Fi if I unlock my phone.

Not quite sure

No, unlocking your iPhone simply means that it does not have a cellular plan from a specific company associated with the phone. Unlocking it yourself can be tricky, but in some countries Apple sells the phones already unlocked. (The carriers do not subsidize these phones though, so they can be very expensive.) If you unlock your phone, you can buy a T-Mobile, Rogers, Orange, or Vodaphone sim card and put it in the iPhone and the iPhone will not reject the sim card (like it would if you were on an AT&T phone, ie a "locked" one.) Hope this helps!

No. "Unlocking" your phone lets you use it with another phone provider if you wanted, but you still need a service plan to make calls and texts without Wi-Fi.

Umm, in one word, no
Also, you can't unlock a verizon iphone 4, its CDMA only.

You can only connect to the internet using Wi-Fi or 3G (the iPhone 4 doesn't have LTE). You can only get 3G by signing up for cellular service and that will cost. You can only get Wi-Fi when you're near a router and it's one that you've got access to access because you have the security key or its an unsecured hotspot.

Not sure if this is a troll question or f you actually think that's what ulocking a phone does but I'll answer any way. Unlocking a phone means it can be with any carrier within your country and is then worth more should you decide to sell it. A phone that is locked will only except SIMs from the specific carrier it is locked to. You will still need to pick a carrier and then pay for so many minutes, texts and data per month. Though you can still get online with Wi-Fi but not 3G. I'm doing that with my current phone since I do not have a SIM for it yet.
