If I upgrade my iPhone 3Gs to the iPhone 4 am I able to keep my SMS messages?
I'm upgrading my iPhone 3Gs to the 4 and was wondering if I will be able to transfer those SMS messages to my new phone. Are they saved to my sim card? And are my contacts and other data able to be transferred to my new phone?

When you get the newer iPhone, do a full backup of the old phone, then activate the new phone using the backup of the old phone and all will come over. I have texts from years ago from my 1st iPhone.
- Why can't my iPhone receive SMS messages on 3G? I have a 3GS which has just started having issues with 3G connection. It refuses to receive SMS messages, but I'm able to send them. I have tried to reset network settings, turn off iMessage, restart numerous times to no avail. The only way I can make it work is to turn off 3G, turn the phone off and on which allows SMS to be received. Am I missing something obvious as to why it's having a mini meltdown?

- My grandpa's iPhone 5S won't send SMS messages to non-iPhone phone? He can call my mom's cell phone just fine, which is not an iPhone, but when it comes to texting, he can't send anything. I've made sure both numbers were correct and that all SMS settings were set right, but nothing changes. How is it possible that he can call her phone but can't send or receive messages?
