If my iPhone 4s breaks and I have insurance but they don't make iPhone 4s s anymore will i get a better phone as a replacement?
Just wondering if i would get a better phone than the 4s if my phone broke and they didn't carry 4s phones anymore. Btw this is for AT&T
In the event that you submit an insurance claim (w/ Asurion, who handles the mobile insurance practically all carriers, including AT&T), they will send you the same type of phone (even a refurbished one) is possible.
In the event that your phone is no longer available (& any refurbish stock is exhausted), Asurion will provide a comparable replacement AT THEIR DISCRETION. In your case, you would effective receive an upgrade to a newer iPhone, most likely an iPhone SE (then iPhone 6, then 6S if the previous phones are no longer available as well), as they will keep you in the same "OS ecosystem" (in your case, it would be iOS).
If you had an older Android phone, Asurion would try to stay with the same model line & manufacturer as possible… But would have greater room for alternate options since there's more options with Android than iOS.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THE DECISION OF THE REPLACEMENT PHONE PROVIDED IS NOT THE DECISION OF YOUR CARRIER (in your case, AT&T)! IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH YOUR REPLACEMENT (or it's malfunctioning within the first 30 days), YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT ASURION DIRECTLY! Your carrier will transfer your call to Asurion if you choose to contact them instead.
- My iPhone 7 broke in half and I don't have insurance. The screen was ripped off & the frame is bent. How can I get it replaced or fixed cheap? My iPhone 7 broke in half and I don't have insurance. The screen was ripped off & the frame is bent. How can I get it replaced or fixed cheap?
- If your iPhone breaks will you still receive iMessages when you get a new phone? For example, my friend broke his phone so my text/iMessage doesn't say delivered. But when he gets a new phone will He receive the text I sent him? (iMessage)
- If I bring my own phone that is unlocked to a carrier, will they lock it with them and do they have every right to do that? I have an iPhone that I just had unlocked so I can go switch to another carrier, but I'm wondering what will happen when I take it to another carreir to put service on it. Will they lock it with them?
