If my iPhone is network unlocked and I have Wi-Fi at home, how do I connect to Wi-Fi without a Data Plan?
My iPhone isn't network unlocked, which means it isn't an AT&T, Rogers, Verizon, Sprint, or etc. Phone and has no SIM card.
I think you connect it the same way you would an iPod or iPad
Well, it's simple. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi>look for your wireless network and connect to it.
However, if your phone is on the setup screen, you need a SIM card to continue.
And if your phone is NOT network unlocked, it means it's locked to a carrier; which means you'll need that carrier's SIM card to continue.
- One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
- My iphone will not connect to my home Wi-Fi. It can connect to any other network with no problems All my other devices at home connect with no problem, but once i updated my phone it won't connect here. I've reset the router, my network settings, forgot this network, even wiped out my phone and it still won't work. I changed the dns several times. Sometimes that works for a little while, but then eventually stops. What the hell?
- I clicked 'Forget this Network' on the Wi-Fi network, and I need to use that network? I'm on iPhone 4, with iOS 6, and like I mentioned, it was an accident and I need to use that network!
- How to find out my data plan and how much data I have left? I just get an iPhone and I got the smallest data plan I could. I really don't want to go over and I want to know how much data I have left! I've gone to settings, general, and usage to where it brings up sent and received and I don't understand all of that? Can someone help?
