If my son s iPhone is on private is there any way for me to see what he is searching? - 1
No since it wouldn't be recording what sites are being accessed.
Ask him
You could if you have the knowledge and equipment on how to set up a packet sniffing system on your home network.
Other than that, most likely not.
While his phone is in private mode you can't see what he is searching for but I suggest that you switch his phone off of private mode and he may not notice the change. This would cause his phone to keep track of his search history (assuming he doesn't put it back into private mode).
If you're worried he is searching for inappropriate things on his phone you could try the following
1) Go to settings > general > restrictions > enable restrictions > set passcode > websites > limit adult content or specific websites only
2) Go to settings > general > restrictions > enable restrictions > set passcode > turn off safari
(make sure to press the home button once after doing this, the settings will be saved. Also, keep track of the passcode you made as it will cause HUGE frustration later if you forget it.)
If you find out he is searching for inappropriate things here is an alternative to taking his phone from him
Go to settings > general > accessibility > guided access > turn on guided access > passcode settings > set guided access passcode (make sure Touch ID is off if an option appears) > back to guided access > turn on accessibility shortcut > press home button once > open phone app > triple click home button (somewhat quickly) > press options > turn on sleep/wake button > press done > press start
From this point he will only be able to use the phone app and nothing else which will restrict him from searching inappropriate things while giving him the security of a phone. To turn this mode off triple click the home button and press end. (Note: to start guided access again you don't need to follow the above steps, instead triple click the home button in any app that you want to be locked into.)
- When i go on my Instagram profile it says i'm private and can't see my own photos? I have tried deleting the app and then reinstalling it and restarting the device (iphone 4) also tried loging out and in and i know my account is not private it doesn't say it is in the settings.
- Safari Private Browsing History not Private? So I've got an iPhone 4 and recently found out that there's actually a way to view the history of your private tab. Is this true? If so, I wanted to know how to delete it.
- My son dropped my iphone 5s in the dog bowl what's the best way to dry it out? I have removed the back and dried it the best i could with a kitchen cloth it still works but the screen goes fuzzy after a few seconds i have it in a box of rice atm and intend to leave it there for a day or so any other advice?
- Is there any way you can see where a text is being sent from? I think someone might be lying to me about where they are right now and I was wondering if there was any way I could see the location the text was sent from. We both have iPhones if that helps.
