If you email someone with your iPhone can/do they get your number?
I'm communicating with a guy from a dating site, by email but have avoided using my iPhone, I'm just wondering if I send an email using it does he get any indication of my number, or any indication that I used my iphone? As I told him my phone was broke (yes I lied I know just sounded nicer than, I don't trust you with it). I'm not ready to give him my phone number so just want to make sure it's ok to use it, is there any way he can trace my number if I email him using the phone.
No. Using email on your phone is no different from using email on your laptop. The only difference is the canned 'Sally, Sent from my iPhone' tag on the bottom of the message. You can change that as well. As long as you don't text him, he will not get your phone number. Besides, you can always set up a junk email account to use strictly for online dating, surveys, things bought online so he/anybody else won't have your legit general purpose email address. Best luck.
No. Other than the signature that iPhones have by default saying
"Sent from my iPhone" (which you could change btw)
there's no way to know the email came from an iPhone.
- What happens when you block someone on an iPhone 6, and they text you or call you? Specifically, does the phone keep ringing or does it say the call can't be made? Does the text deliver and just never show up on the receiving phone, or does the sender get a message saying the text can't be sent? (The other phone is not an iPhone.)
- Someone sent me an email from iphone, can i get their number from it somehow? A client of mine sent me an email from their iphone but i can't find their number to call them back. Is there a way i can get it from the email they sent?
- Is hacking someone's personal email and iphone illegal and what are the charges they could get? A few years ago I was battling major depression and was acting rather erratically. I found out that my company was investigating me because they were under the impression I was doing something illegal. Which I wasn't. Just wondering if its legal for a company to do such a thing and what could the reprocussions be? Fyi I'm still with the company 3 years later, but still don't really trust them if what they did was in fact illegal. I'm also no longer depressed
- If you text someone, can they find out your name easily? As in, will it show up anywhere where they could easily access it. My phone is an iPhone 3G, and I think the other person's phone I'm referring to is either an iPhone 4S or 5g. And if so, is there a way I can mask my name?
