If you leave Bluetooth turned on on an iPhone 6, does it drain battery?
If you just leave it turned on but it's inactive (no apps are using the bluetooth function), does it still run battery down or only when being actively used in background apps?
Yes. Don't leave it on unless you're using Bluetooth.

Yes, it does ise power. It remains active to "listen" for incomimg BT transmissions even if it's not sending any.
Turning off both BT and Wi-Fi when you're not using them reduces battery drain.
