If you qualify for WIC but don't need it, should on take it?
We're a military family of a decent rank, and although I have repeatedly rejected applying for WIC (aka government food) because we have enough money for everything plus savings. However, I know so many military families in my neighborhood that get WIC and appear to have more than we do like BMWs and The wives all have Prada handbags along with new iPhones.
I drive a 1996 Nissan maxima and my husband has a 2002 ford truck. He has a basic cell phone and I an older iPhone.
I guess if you don't need to buy food for your family, you have more disposal income for new cars and designer goods.
I wouldn't
Why not? Free money is a no brainer!
Obama 2008-2016+!
You just posted a new twist to an age old made up story.
Well, it's good for the industries that depend on discretionary income.
You should take it because the government finds ample mechanisms to to steal from you. Getting SOMETHING back is better than nothing.
We're a military family and could have gone on welfare too - what we pay our soldiers and sailors is a disgrace when they are ready 24/7 to give us everything.
We didn't take welfare - I got a job and worked too - I didn't need the designer goods - he's retired now and we live comfortably (knock on wood) - but it's because I worked too.
Thanks for your service. Your service is…
A debt that can never be repaid.
Semper Fi
Your claims are fabricated. WIC is only available to single mothers and the income cutoff is $1087.50 per month - which is 37.5 hours per week for four weeks at $7.25 per hour.
Really nice of you to slander our service members and veterans too - real show of how the Tea Party supports our military there.
Also, when I say the income cutoff I don't mean that's what WIC pays, that's the maximum amount you can make and still receive benefits.
Now I know your lieing since:
1) WIC is supplementary you can't just live on it.
2) The threshold is far lower than what your stating you and others make.
Also you can always get the food and then donate it to the Food Bank for people that really need it.
Edit: Your really trying to hard to troll here, your becoming even more obvious.

Ok so my aunt got me an iPhone from Canada but its sim locked and it says I need to insert a sim card for it to work. - If I'm still using my iPhone 3GS through AT&T. Is there any upgrades to a newer phone or even a discount that I qualify for? I'm still using the original iPhone 3GS and after all these years it's now starting to become a problem. I was wondering if they're any free or low cost upgrades I qualify for.
- I want to use my IPhone but don't need data. Ideas? I bought an IPhone and didn't know the data package would cost an extra $30 a month. My parents aren't happy. Is there a way to not have to have data? I really don't need it or want it. I always have Wi-Fi. My idea was to go back to the original plan that doesn't have data then register my Iphone without data. I don't know if it will work though. Any help please?
