IMessage sent as Text Message?
I have the setting on my iPhone where if iMessage isn't available, it'll send as a text message.
Will my iPhone send it as a text message if the other person's phone is off/battery died?
Yes.
The iMessage text message is sometimes confusing. It more than likely will send as a text message if phone is off also if you or the other person doesn't have Wi-Fi or data on
Yes. The message will be sent as a regular SMS text message if either the other device is not an iPhone and does not have iMessage compatibility or it can't determine if the other device has iMessage (because the phone is turned off). Cheers.
- Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.

So I sent a text to my cousin who is in basic training now in Missouri, we both have iPhones so usually me and her text on iMessage with the blue messages but this time it says "sent as a text message"in green, Did she get my message? So, i've been using a iphone 5 for a month and i just realized that when i'm using sms, usually my texts send as "green balloons" but sometimes the color turns "blue"and says "sent as a text message" i'm confused lil bit:/ what does "sent as a text message" mean? And what's the difference between blue and green texts. Will it send to different message box or shows different to who i text? sorry for not my native english.
- Was my text message sent properly on my iPhone? I sent two text messages to a lady friend and underneath both of them it says "sent as txt message". Does that mean it was sent because usually it says delivered under the message.
