IMessage won't send only text message?

My 3G Is on, I have a good data plan, and my text messages send just fine, I have all service bars. Why won't my Imessages send? I have an iPhone 4S

iMessage and FaceTime seem to be down. I'm having the same issues. We just have to wait until service is restored. It the meantime just turn of iMessage.

  • Why won't my message send as an iMessage? I'm trying to send my friend a message over iMessage from my iPhone to their iPhone. It keeps going green when I type in his name which means its a normal text and I don't know how to make it an iMessage
  • Why won't my 5c send a message as MMS when it's a long message to a non iPhone user? Whenever I type a LONG message to an SMS user (says Text Message in the messaging "box") my 5c won't convert to MMS and the recipient gets the message in dozens of out of order messages instead of the whole fluid message. I have MMS on in Settings. What can I do and why is it doing this?
  • Send iMessage as text message One of my best friends just switched from an iPhone to an HTC One X. When he texts me, I can't text him back because it sends as an iMessage and he doesn't receive it. How can I send an iMessage as a text message? I have iOS 7 downloaded onto my iPhone if that helps. I've already tried to hold down the message for options but all it says is "Copy" and "More". When I tap more, it just selects the message so I can resend it. Nothing's working!
  • IPhone 4 won't let me send picture messages through texts but only with iMessage? I just got texting on my phone but they said I'd get unlimited texting plus free sending picture messages, but when I tried to click on the picture thing, it didn't open but the picture thing looked grey as if I can't use it but when I use iMessage, it was black to where I could use it. Anyone have a solution?
