Importing iPhone videos to Sony Vegas?

I'm currently using Sony Vegas Pro 13 on my laptop and have an iPhone 5. So I wanted to edit some of my videos from my iPhone but when I import the videos to the Vegas Pro 13, the video will play but very laggy. So, what do I do?

Is it possible that Apple updated your phone? Try opening the new videos in QuickTime player. If they don't work there, update to the newest version and try again.

Convert those videos in mp4 or AVI format then put them in your Sony Vegas Pro 13 your problem will be solved for sure.

Your iPhone recorded video is in Quicktime mov format, and mov is not supported by Sony Vegas. You have to convert your iphone video to avi video for adding into Sony vegas. If you don't know how to convert video, I think this step by step direction would help you a lot.
