In a T-Mobile 2year contract, can you end it in the middle of the contract?

Recently someone tried to break into my home, and while I was trying to call 911, my Samsung Galaxy S refused to send calls. Instead they went directly to "Call Ended." As I tried to text my mother to alert her she needed to call 911, my phone's keyboard went spontaneously into Japanese letters, meaning all communication was lost. Luckily I'm okay and I managed to reach 911, but seeing how unreliable my phone is and how it could have costed me my life, I'm hoping to break contract with T-Mobile and get an iPhone with a different company. Is it possible to end the contract? If not, would I be able to tell T-Mobile why I want to end and since it is so serious, they would let me end or give me money to upgrade to a better phone?

You can go to their website to see if it would cost you money to end the contract early. It usually costs around $200 though to end a contract early.

I'm sorry to hear about the break in and glad you are ok. When you are in the middle of a phone contract and wish to finish it before the term end you will need to buy your contact out. What I would recommend for you to do is call them first to see if they can do anything for you but I don't think they will. But you could take out another contract out with a different supplier. Then sell your current Samsung and with the money you get from that pay towards the buy out or if you go to a company like phone's4u they may put some money for you or/and buy your phone off you which may help with the payments… Hope everything works out for you x
