My iphone 4s was stolen on a 2year contract with AT&T?
My iphone 4s was stolen while it died, so it isn't on and I didn't have the find my iphone app or have any type of insurance on it since I just barely got it and didn't have the means to get it yet. I'm in a 2year contract with AT&T! I don't want to have to pay for a phone bill I no longer have! Is there any way I can just buy a new iphone and keep it on the same contract or something? Do I have to do the whole cancellation fee thing and all?
Nothing will get cancelled, but if you have a contract and you were paying for the phone over time, you're still going to have to pay off the stolen device, since you didn't insure it. You can get another phone, then go to AT&T and tell them the original one was stolen and you need a new SIM card. You don't have to cancel anything, but you need to tell them so they can deactivate that old SIM.
No matter what, you're still on the hook for the missing phone if you didn't buy it up front.
I can't imagine why you are asking us instead of asking AT&T.
Go to the iCould and use find my iPhone feature you. You can get the location of your stolen iPhone from there. And also can send message into your stolen iPhone.
If that's not work than claim for new iPhone…
You can buy a new phone and pay the full price, buy a used one, or pay the cancellation fee and start over.
Just go online and ask to resend a new SIM card and to kill your old SIM card.
