Inserting MetroPCS sim card into Iphone 5?
OK, read this question carefully please. This is more for a technical expert. I currently have a MetroPCS android smartphone with a MetroPCS sim card. The sim card is a regular sim card (not a micro or a nano sim card). I'm aware that if i purchase a sim card cutter, that i can convert my regular sim card into a nano sim card. If i insert this new MetroPCS nano sim card into an unlocked Iphone 5, would my MetroPCS service work on my Iphone?
That really depends on a lot of factors; for one, if the SIM Card is just an LTE SIM, it will not work because a full network is needed to be used properly. Your phone is most likely a CDMA+LTE device, where CDMA is the regular network and LTE is the only part where the modem requires a SIM Card. It simply will not work.
If you had brought your phone in on a BYOP plan, and got the SIM installed (which, in this case you would be using T-Mobile's towers, since MetroPCS's spectrum now all belongs to T-Mobile), then it will work since the HSPA network is included.

- I want to cut my sim card into a micro card for iPhone 4? I'm currently on a £15 month contract on vodafone where I get unlimited texts, 300 minutes and 500MB of internet. Because my current phone isn't working I'm going to buy an unlocked iPhone 4, I don't want to pay £30+ a month so is it possible to cut my sim card into a micro sim? Will this work? And will I be able to still pay £15 a month?
