IOS: what do you use to read your pdf files on iOS?

If you have a pdf file you need to transfer to iPhone/iPad, what app do you use to sync it?

IBooks.

For the record if the PDF has a URL (as in its available online) you could go to that in Safari & read it from there.

That is two different questions. It depends what it is where it is coming from and what I want to do with it.

Most commonly I would use Dropbox to pass files back and forth between computer and iOS device. It also has a PDF viewer built in…

But the Readdle Documents app is excellent and can also access a DropBox account…

And Tonido will access files directly from your computer

which you may want to open with iBooks…

or PDF Expert…

or similar.

The simple answer is you can't open PDF files on any Apple Mobile device, directly. Before his death, Steve Jobs was at war with Adobe over the Security problems he found with Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, and other Adobe products.

BUT, Adobe Reader is a free App in the Apps Store.

And, there's no need to SYNC it if you got the PDF file online. Just download it directly to your Apple Mobile Device. Or, if not downloadable, Email it to yourself, and open it on your Apple Mobile with Adobe Reader.
