IOS7 iMessaging problem

So last night I up dated mine and my moms iPhones to the new iOS7 but this morning I woke up and noticed I had no "Good morning" text from my boyfriend. Only to find out that I yes indeed got the text BUT it also went to my mom's iPhone and she has acadently replied not knowing who it was (Yes she knows my boyfriend just not his ID on my phone) but now that her & I have started to do our daily texting we've noticed that we can now see eachothers texts to the people were texting/iMessaging…

So my question is how in the heck do i turn this off? We need to be on the same Apple ID as I use her credit card number for my Itunes & Apps but what do i do?

Any help is greatly appreciated and i mean i love my mom but she doenst need to see all my 5 billion texts of random stuff!

Go to settings>messaging>send&receiv… And then choose then only have your number check-marked
Hope I helped

  • Switched from iphone to galaxy s3 and I'm having issues with imessaging? All my friends with iphones are having issues texting me. I don't know what to do. I know it's because of imessage. If I turn that off on my end (My old phone and my ipad) will that fix it?
  • Is imessaging with iPhones free? I'm in Korea using only Wi-Fi and want to text my friend in the US who uses Wi-Fi and 3G. Would imessaging be free? Even if one is on Wi-Fi and one is on 3G?
  • Is iMessaging internationally free? Quick question, i have an ipod touch and an iphone 5s, living in the UK. My friend has an ipod touch too and an iphone 5 living in america. They have imessage activated on their ipod, i have it activated on my phone as i rarely use my ipod. Summary: will it be free for me to imessage them from my iphone 5s in england to their ipod touch in usa?
  • Is data used when Imessaging with the iphone? I only get a certain amount of RAM a month, does Imessaging use data? I turned off my data since i'm on Wi-Fi, but then the imessages do not sent? Do they use alot of data? Just got my iphone yesterday, so i'm slowly learning haha.
