IPhone 3gs keeps restarting to apple logo?

The other day my iPhone restarted itself to the apple logo while i was in the middle of texting one of my friends. I didn't think much of it and continued playing on it. Later it did it again while i was playing on it. It has happened another 2 or 3 times since then. I have not broken my iphone or dropped it in water or anything it just started doing this the other day out of the blue. If anyone knows what is wrong with it or how to fix it please tell me. Also i do not have warranty so i can't take it to the apple store and my mom will not buy me another one any time soon.

Ok, go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET and reset NETWORK SETTINGS and let it reboot. If that doesent work then your battery connector could be loose, if you got the phone within 1 year they will send u a new one for free as long as you didn't drop it

Earlier on today, my phone died at 40%, when I switched it back on whilst charging it (took around 20 minutes) it was on 6% and then died, I charge it again and it was really low. I left it for a while and it went to 60% and mysteriously to 53%. Now it keeps restarting, I've tried doing the hard reset (holding the power and home button) but I've had no luck. Why is my phone doing this and how can I solve the problem?
