Iphone 3gs sim into 4s phone?
I currently have a iPhone 3GS 8GB. I want to go on craigslist and buy an iPhone 4s AT&T 16GB, would it work if I just put my sim from the 3GS to the 4S and go on normally?
It should work just fine, but you might have to update phone a couple of times.

No. The 4 & 4S use microSIMs. You'd either have to cut your sim to size or get a new microSIM with your number on
The iPhone 4S uses a micro sim card, while the iPhone 3GS uses a normal sized sim card. You either need to get a micro sim from AT&T (they give them out for free) or cut your existing sim card.
The only thing different about the 2 sim cards is the plastic around it, so you could simply cut it smaller without problems.
