Iphone 3gs won't update to ios6?

When i i try to update my ios it says that "This version of the iPhone software (4.2.1) is the current version." I can't seem to find the new ios? Does anyone have any idea what i can do? Thanks in advance.

If ios 4.2.1 is said to be the highest version, you most likely have an iPhone 3G which IS limited to ios 4.2.1 and can't even take 4.3.x or 5.x.x.let alone ios 6. Sorry but in that case, the reason for stopped support on older Apple devices is the hardware limitations. It's like putting Windows 7 on a Pentium I with 64 mb RAM; can't do that as its not possible.

iPhone 3GS IS capable of running ios 6 and it is because the hardware is more advanced to handle it. I doubt you have iPhone 3GS as this phone was released in 2009. IPhone 3G was released in 2008.

  • Wi-Fi won't won't work on iPhone 4s after ios6 update I have tried resetting my network settings that didn't work then proceeded to reset all my settings but yet it still didn't work. When i tap on Wi-Fi it will not let me turn it on its all grey and blurred out. I have tried everything possible. Any suggestions or know how to fix this problem?

I recently downloaded the ios6 for my iphone 4s and after i did, my camera apps like camwow, camwow retro and camstar won't work… The picture comes out black.
