IPhone 4 error 21, stuck in recovery mode?

So basically I dropped my phone in water, waited a few days then turned it on and tried to restore the phone had no luck and got the error 21, tried everything on youtube and google that I could find my main problem is that my power/lock button is broken so I can't get to dfu mode only recovery mode. So I kept trying and trying eventually it turned back on I managed to restore it, then today the phone ran out of battery and I tried charging it and it goes to the setup screen saying plug it into itunes, as soon as I unplug the phone from the mains the phone goes dead. Try plugging directly into computer simply reboots over and over, unless i put into recovery mode. Then trying again to restore I get error 21://///
Any ideas?
I can get out of recovery mode but then I'm faced with the same problem above

So sorry to hear of your accident with your iPhone. Sorry, given the phone's behaviour since being dropped in water, it would seem unlikely that the problems you're having are likely to disappear. My best advice; if phone is less than a year old Apple will replace but at a charge (around £150.00 - don't know $$) - just visit Apple Store. You need to tell them it has suffered 'liquid damage'. The phone has around 5 sensors so they would soon tell anyway. If the phone is a little older than a year, beg and plea to their good nature - and you never know ;-)

One final alternative, often overlooked, is to claim on your house insurance - like I did recently - obviously, you have to pay the insurance excess, but still cheaper!
