IPhone 4-Going to Apple Store to fix?
My lock/power button caved in so now I can't lock my phone. My warranty is still available until December. I made an appointment with the Genius Bar at Apple to see if I can get a replacement. I just have a few tiny questions: Will they need proof of purchase? I don't think I have my receipt from when I bought my phone which makes me nervous… And do you think they'll end up actually replacing my phone? Or just fix the lock/power button on the spot? Sorry if they seem like stupid questions… This is the first iPhone issue I've had.
You will most likely get a refurbished unit as replacement. Apple will go by the date that the unit was first turned on to establish warranty validity.
Be sure to back everything up on the phone.
- Where is the best place to buy an iPhone 4s: the Verizon store or the Apple store? I don't have an upgrade until January but am looking to buy an iPhone soon. I've been looking at the various sites and saw that there was a huge price difference between the Apple and Verizon stores. A rep at the Verizon store told me I wouldn't even have to change my existing plan, but just pay the $449 for the phone. Why would I buy an iPhone 4s from Verizon for $449.99 when they're sold on the Apple website for $99?
- When going to get my Iphone replaced, what do I need to bring to the Apple store? I got my iphone a little over two months ago and the ear speaker has stopped working properly. The phone is under my father's name, and he took it to fido to see what can be done and they said to take it to an apple store. I'm planning on going myself but since the phone isn't under my name, what do I need to bring with me?
- Verizon store or apple store for a new iphone 5? Verizon said I can get an Iphone 5 for "Using my upgrade + $199).Is it true that I can get an iphone 5 at the apple store for $199? If true, Why would I use an upgrade at verizon and pay the same amount for the phone?
- Should I buy my iPhone at the Apple Store or the Verizon store? The plans and the phones themselves cost the exact same; the difference is the care plan. I just can't decide which one is best for me and I definitely want some sort of plan. Apple care is an upfront cost, but it is cheaper. I don't know how long either last, or which one takes care of the customers the best. Any opinions?
