IPhone 4 has frozen messaging?

My friend and I were imessaging each other and he sent me an extremely long text of the poop emoticon… Well this has now frozen my message app on my phone AND iPad… Whenever I try to open messaging it stays white and eventually crashes to the home page. I have shut down my phone twice, still doesn't help. It's been like this for about 20 minutes help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to go to AT&T tomorrow so they can see poop…

Sometimes too much of the message can be bad… Try deleting it

Id take out the battery and reset the phone then restart it.

This happens sometimes when a message is heavily loaded with emoticons. Try restoring the device as a new device. Set up the Apple ID for iMessage later. If the app works on another device, delete all conversations.

  • Which iphone has voice messaging? What i mean is, which iphone has the option of speaking into the phone so it translates into text to send in a message? I want to get my mom a new phone for mothers day (she is coming with me to get it) but she always uses voice messaging on her android. I have the iphone 4 and it doesn't have it, so does 4s or 5 have it?
  • My iPhone apps won't update and now my phone has frozen? I have an iPhone 3gs, and i tried to update all 42 apps that needed updating, it took about an hour but after that it said they had all updated, however all the apps still have the waiting bar across them. I turned my phone on and off an that didn't do anything, i tried to reboot and that didn't do anything. And i also tried to delete some of the apps but that didn't work either. does anyone know what else i can do? Would be a massive help.
