IPhone 4 iOS update information?

On my phone it says I have an iOS update 6 available. It says I need 2GB of space to update. If I update my phone will I lose that 2GB of space? Or will I still have it? I need all the space I can get, I have a ton of music and pictures I'd like to download on my phone.

It will not use that space entirely, it will download the software, then install the IOS.
After the ios update has been installed it will then delete the unecassary files EG the install IOS file giving you back all your space.

However you may lose around 500 mb max i wouldve thought. This is because of the new features that may have been added to your phone.

if it was only a small update then you shouldnt lose much space at all.

so yeah go for the update. You won't lose much at all.

  • Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
  • New iOS 6 update, find my iPhone update? I don't like the new find my iPhone update is there a way to change back to the old find my iPhone but keep the new update? It's not showing locations like it used to and won't even how me major boroughs like Croydon. Streets are difficult to see, much smaller picture. General *** compared to the older version.
  • Is the IOS UPDATE 11.2.2 update The one that is supposed to slow down the older Apple Phones? If this is the one, I don't want that. I have an IPhone 6s+.
  • Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.
