IPhone 4 Lifeproof Case help? - 1

I purchased the Lifeproof case for my iPhone 4 the other day, and if you're familiar with the case, it has a built on screen protector, but there's a space between the screen protector and phone so it's harder to push and the sensitivity is terrible, is there anyway to fix this? I've watched countless YouTube videos and nothing has worked, there's always a speculation that the case could be fake, but I bought it directly from the AT&T store, I'm not sure if all cases are like this, my girlfriend just got the pink Lifeproof for her phone and she says, her case does not have this problem. Is there anyway to fix the protector so it sits flush with the phone? If the case wasn't waterproof I'd honestly just cut the protector out. I need help!

Might be because you bought a bad case, if you didn't:
hold a piece of a paper 1-2 times and stick it between your phone and the phone case. Don't let the paper block the camera hole though. The paper will push the phone toward the front to the screen.
